Cancellation Policy

We are a very busy fine art portrait studio with a limited number of appointments available, so that we can be sure to take special care of each family as we create custom, stunning pieces of art for their homes.   

Upon scheduling, J. Oates requires a fully-refundable $99 reservation fee to ensure everyone’s commitment to the appointment and to reserve our entire studio and staff just for your family. This temporary charge will all come back to you the day of your portrait presentation.

Rescheduling with less than 5 days’ notice will result in a loss of the reservation fee. With at 5 days’ notice on any rescheduling you may need, reservation fees are applied to the new appointment and will be refunded on the day of the portrait presentation.   The reservation fee is not refundable for permanently cancelled appointments.  No shows will be charged an additional $150 so be sure to communicate if you need to adjust your day and time.
